Scripture for The New Year - 1/1/20

By Laurie Curcio

Time for the Glory

Haggai 2:9 - The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. (Lord Sabbaoth) And in this place (of glory) I will give peace, says the Lord of hosts. (Sabbaoth)

Prior to this outpouring of glory, God is going to first shake the nations.

Haggai 2: 6-8 - For thus says the Lord of hosts: (Lord Sabbaoth) Once more (it is a little while) I will shake the heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7. And I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory, says the Lord of Hosts. (Lord Sabbaoth). 8. The silver and the gold is Mine, says the Lord of hosts. (Lord Sabbaoth)

The Lord Sabbaoth is mentioned 5 times in Haggai 2: 6-9. This is the number of God’s Grace.

This is the pattern for God’s
people to enter into God’s glory.

1. First the shaking
2. The loosing of the silver and the gold. (Financial inversion)
3. The filling of God’s temple or house with Glory. (The body of Christ)

What is the purpose of the shaking of the nations?

Hebrews 12:25-27 New King James Version (NKJV)

Hear the Heavenly Voice

25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I [a]shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” 27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Prophesy from Sunday Jan. 26, 2020

Delivered through Pastor Laurie

Tongues and then interpretation - What I saw in the Spirit

I saw believers all across the globe beginning to wake up to their position in the body of Christ. (The army of Joel 2)

No more comparing with anyone else, no more breaking rank and trying to do what God has called someone else to do.

The Army of the Lord -

Joel 2: 7- 11 - They (the Army of the Lord) run like mighty men, They climb the wall like men of war; Every one marches in FORMATION, and they do not break RANKS. 8. They do not PUSH one another; Every one MARCHES in his OWN column.

Joel 2: 11 - The Lord gives voice before HIS army, For HIS camp is very GREAT: For strong is the ONE who executes HIS WORD.

No more trying to carry out God’s plan through their own efforts or works of the flesh. (Man’s ideas and plans)

The Lord will set people in assemblies of His choosing. The Lord has given assignments to each of His churches and ministries, and they will stay on track and focus on what God has told them to do and be patient to the timings and seasons and people He’s called them to join with.

No more soulish enmeshment with the wrong people, the wrong time, or trying to do someone else’s assignment.

The Lord is straightening the crooked places born of man’s ideas, timings and purposes, but not God’s.

When these crooked places are straightened and healed, then the body of Christ can be knit together by the Spirit of God. This brings growth to the whole body.

Isaiah 40:3- 5 - The voice of one crying in the wilderness: (John the Baptist preparing for Jesus). Prepare the way of the Lord: Make STRAIGHT in the desert (dry places) A highway for our God. 4. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill be brought low. The CROOKED places SHALL be made STRAIGHT and the rough places SMOOTH. (Free of imperfections and roughness. In a way that’s without difficulties. Google definition) 5. The GLORY of the Lord shall be revealed, and ALL flesh shall SEE it TOGETHER; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Eph. 4: 15 - 16 - But, speaking the TRUTH in love, may GROW up in ALL things into Him who is the head - CHRIST- 16. From whom the WHOLE body, joined and KNIT together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes GROWTH of the body for the edifying of itself in LOVE.

I saw the Lord whistling for His people to return to Him. A promise of restoration.

Zech. 10: 6- 8 - I will bring them back, Because I have mercy on them. They shall be as though I had not cast them aside. For I am the Lord their God, and I will hear them. 7. Those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man. And their heart shall rejoice as if with new wine. (Acts 2 outpouring of the Holy Spirit) Yes their children shall see it and be glad. Their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.
8. I will WHISTLE for them and gather them, For I will redeem them, (which was done in Christ). And they shall increase as they once increased.

This scripture is about the promise of restoring Israel after they had gone astray.

Three conditions in the body of Christ that the Holy Spirit wants to heal this year -

11/7/2018

Too Dry, Too Cold, Too Hot

The Bible says it’s better to be hot spiritually rather than cold. Rev. 3:15
What I am discussing in this blog is different than the description in this scripture.

This blog relates to the spiritual and emotional atmospheres or climate around us that can impact our vitality in the kingdom of God. I want to examine how the spiritual climate, can parallel the natural climate. It can effect people, animals and even the environment. Jesus would contrast the kingdom of God to the natural realm many times in His teachings. Matt. 13: 44 & 47.

I also want to discuss how the “rest” of God, and the
"ways" of God in the Spirit, can bring healing to these three conditions.

1    Too Dry - (Spiritual drought due to religious works of the flesh) When it’s too dry, we need the rain of the Holy Spirit to refresh and revive what’s dormant inside of us.
2    Too Cold - (Spiritual coldness due to lack of love) When it’s too cold, we need the fire of the Holy Spirit to revitalize our love for God and others. We need the Holy Spirit’s Fire to thaw out the frozen stasis that the body of Christ has been in. (Like the frozen lizards falling from the trees in Florida this year)
3    Too Hot- (Spiritually being overheated and overcharged with the cares of life) When it’s too hot, we need the wind and the rain of the Holy Spirit to energize us. We need to REST in the presence of God in order to restore our over heated souls. Psalm 23. We need the refreshing rain of the Holy Spirit to heal our parched body and revive our energy.

We slow down in the natural realm when it’s too dry, too cold, or too Hot. The same is true in the spiritual realm as well.

May we receive the perfect balance of the power of the Holy Spirit, hearing and obeying the anointed Word of God, and His divine rest, to receive major breakthroughs of; healing, restoration and abundance in these three areas of our lives this year.

Too Dry -

It’s a known fact that when our bodies are dehydrated from not enough water, they slow down to reserve fluids. It’s a built in survival mechanism that God has created within the systems of our body.

It’s also a known fact that in every desert there are dormant seeds that have survived for millennia. As soon as refreshing rains hit those deserts, the seeds suddenly come back to life and burst forth into bloom.

Too Cold-

Definition of stasis - a state of inactivity or equilibrium. A slow down of body fluids and blood.

This definition came to life this year with lizards in Florida falling from trees when the temperature dropped. Many thought the lizards were dead, but in reality were just in a frozen state of stasis in order to survive the cold blast. As soon as the temperature warmed up, they suddenly came back to life!

I believe this to be an amazing analogy in the body of Christ as well. When the fire of the Holy Spirit begins to increase in our lives, many will suddenly come back from the proverbial “dead”!

Too Hot -

During what’s called the “dog days of summer” the weather becomes hazy hot, and humid. It seems that all movement outside tends to slow down to reserve fluids. This again is to preserve life.

In some hot weather countries, and European countries during the summer, workers actually take siestas (nap) in the middle of the day.

The Spanish word siesta means nap and came from the Latin word hora sexta. Meaning the sixth hour. During the warmest parts
Of the day, many in Europe close down their shops for a midday meal and rest. This is usually done during the hottest hours of the day, and can last from two to three hours. This allows energy to be restored for greater creativity and health.

Many still practice this during the colder months for family time and eating fuller meals in the afternoon. It was used for not only bonding during the family meal time, but allowed for digesting the fuller meals.

Wikipedia states, “that the siesta habit has resulted in a 37 percent reduction in coronary mortality, possibly due to reduced cardiovascular stress mediated by daytime sleep.”

Knowing these facts can help us better appreciate the supernatural “rest” the Lord has called the Body of Christ into.

During seasons of slow down, we need to receive the Rest of God, the Ways of God and the Word of the Lord in any given situation, in order to restore and revive our souls.

How does being a doer of the Word bring rest to our bodies and souls? -

One of the ways we can be a doer of the Word of God is by the action of praying in the Spirit or praying in tongues. There is no more perfect language than the language of our Father in revitalizing our body.

When we come together corporately and pray in the Spirit we tap into a limitless reservoir of refreshing which brings strength from the Father, through the Holy Spirit.

This is why the enemy always tries to shut down prayer in tongues within the body of Christ.

Isaiah 28:11 - 12- For with stammering lips and another tongue, He (God) will speak to this people, 12 To whom He said, “This is the REST with which You may cause the weary to REST,” and, “This is the REFRESHING”;
Yet the would not HEAR.

Definition of weary
wearier; weariest
1
: exhausted in strength, endurance, vigor, or freshness
2
    •            : expressing or characteristic of weariness a weary sign
3
    •            : having one's patience, tolerance, or pleasure exhausted —used with of soon grew weary of waiting

We are to labor to enter God’s rest this year -

Hebrews 3:7 - 11 - Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says;
1    Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the wilderness,
2    Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, and saw My works forty years.
3    Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said, “They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.”
4    So I swore in My wrath, “They shall not enter My REST.”

Hebrews 4:1 - Therefore since a promise remains of entering His REST, let us fear (reverence the Lord in this) lest any of you seem to have come short of it.

Hebrews 3:19- So we see that they (Israel in the wilderness) could not enter in (to the REST of God) because of UNBELIEF.

Hebrews 4: 3- For we who have believed (have faith) do enter that REST,

So the REST of God is the evidence of being in faith towards God, knowing His ways, trusting Him with all our heart, and obeying His word.

Other keys to healing these three areas, is to watch what we hear and say -

We must hear from heaven this year. We must watch our words in order to say what God is saying in a given situation. This gives the angels something to work with on our behalf.

All of this requires a sincere love relationship with our Father through the Lord Jesus Christ, and the indwelling Holy Spirit. There are no formulated short cuts for anyone!

John 5: 19 - Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son of man can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

Every time we say something, ask ourselves if that is the reality that we want this year? The power of life and death is in the tongue. We will eat the fruit of our lips, either good or bad!

So we need to declare what the word says over our lives this year. Not our symptoms, not our soulish feelings, not what we see in the natural realm.

May the Lord increase us and our children more and more this year. Ps. 115:14

May we receive the rain, fire and wind of the Holy Spirit this year in greater measure to bring total healing to the body of Christ.

May we be healed from
spiritual drought (too dry due to religious works), spiritual coldness (too cold due to lack of love), and being spiritually overheated (too hot from being overcharged with the cares of life)

A Mother's Day Blog. Transmitting the generational blessing, instead of generational iniquity

Transmitting the generational blessing, instead of generational iniquity -

2 Tim. 1: 5 - 6 - ...when I call to remembrance the GENUINE FAITH that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. 6. Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

What a beautiful scripture and admonishment of the apostle Paul to Timothy, who was being trained in ministry.

Amazing how many of us have family members that have gone before us in planting seeds of Christ through prayers and examples of genuine faith into our hearts.

We as mothers and grandmothers have this awesome privilege of pouring the life and words of Christ into the next generation. What an honor to pray for our little ones, love on them and speak words of life over them to transmit the generational blessing into them.

We also have mindsets and words that are not biblical that have been spoken over us or acted out, that need to be recognized and plucked up. If negative or doctrinally wrong belief systems are passed down it can create family bondage or iniquity. These can pass from generation to generation if not recognized and overcome by renewing the mind.

The renewing of the mind is a process that comes through understanding and applying the right use of the scriptures and having one's spirit made alive through an intimate relationship with Jesus. (Born again)

Jesus came to break the power of generational iniquity, that is passed through words, by His death, burial and resurrection.

Is. 53: 6 - The Lord has laid on Him, the iniquity of us all.

It's our job to enforce satan's defeat. He will continue to try and hold on to territory gained through the generations. It's our job to recognize how he tries to steal, kill and destroy the blessing of the Lord.

It's our job to take our authority in the name of Jesus, apply the blood of Jesus that was poured out on the alter of God for us, and drive the enemy out of every area of our lives and children's lives through understanding the Spirit anointed word of God!

It can take years of study, mind renewal, and prayer to become mature in understanding how to put on the full armor of God.

Eph. 6: 11 - 12 - Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles (schemings) of the devil. 12. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

What is the armor of God? -

Eph. 6: 14-18 - Stand therefore, having girded your waist with TRUTH, having put on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS, (which comes through Christ) 15. And having shod your feet with the preparation of the GOSPEL OF PEACE. 16. Above all, taking the shield of FAITH with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17. And take the helmet of SALVATION, and the SWORD of the SPIRIT, which is the WORD OF GOD; 18. PRAYING ALWAYS with all prayer and supplication in the SPIRIT, (tongues) being watchful to this end with all PERSEVERANCE and supplication for all the saints. (Children of God)

In short, here is the armor;

1. Truth
2. Righteousness (Jesus)
3. Gospel of peace (Between man and God)
4. Faith
5. Salvation
6. Sword of the Spirit (Spirit anointed Word of God)
7. Praying always (All prayer in the Spirit)
8. Perseverance

It takes time to mentor the next generation and dismantle generational strongholds of thoughts and behaviors, by replacing them with the word of God. The outcome is worth the effort. It causes blessings to come down for generations to come!

Scriptures on generational blessings -

Ps. 112: 1-3 - Blessed is the man (or woman) who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments, 2. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. 3. Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness ENDURES forever.

Is. 54: 13 - All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.

Ps. 79: 13 - We will show forth Your praise to all generations.

Ps. 105: 8 - He (God) remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded for a THOUSAND GENERATIONS.

Luke 1: 50 - ...and His mercy is on those who fear (reverence) Him, from generation to generation.

Ps. 145: 4 - One generation shall praise your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.

Generational Transmission-

Definition of transmission -

The law of transmission comes through words (sound waves, radio waves) and close connected contact. Trans means across. Something passes across from one person or thing to another.

Transmitting the generational blessing instead of iniquity (the curse) into the next generation, is one of a mothers greatest legacies she can give to her children and grandchildren.

The importance of pouring the word (the living and written) into their hearts is of the utmost importance. It's important for every mother to do the "work of the generations."

What do I mean by this? -

It's important for each mom, (biological as well as spiritual) to overcome the iniquity of past generations, in order to transmit the blessing of the Lord to the next. If we don't, it doesn't mean our children won't be blessed, but they will have a much tougher time recognizing the mindsets they are coming up against, and where they are coming from. They will be in the dark on many issues that have been, in some cases, carefully hidden by family members for years or generations.

These mindsets, if left undetected and un confronted become strongholds that can carry into succeeding generations.

God says to come into the light and walk in truth. Light brings knowledge and exposes darkness. Seeing the truth clearly brings freedom and deliverance.

John 8: 32 - "And you shall KNOW the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Definition of know : (Strongs Concordance) -
To perceive, understand, recognize, gain knowledge, realize, come to know. It is the recognition of truth by personal experience.

It takes the wisdom of God to see the patterns of thoughts and behaviors, both good and bad, that try and seep into following generations and uproot them.

2 Cor. 10:5 - ...casting down arguments and every high thing (thoughts) that exalt itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Satan has no new bag of tricks. He is a liar and accuser of the brethren. He keeps strongholds in place through uncontested words that dominate in families and cultures. He is a defeated foe, but we must enforce his defeat by speaking and living the word of God.

Is. 6: 6 - 1 - Behold this has touched your lips. (The coals from the throne of God) Your iniquity is taken away, your sin is purged. (All by words that come from our lips)

Jesus came to deliver us from iniquity. In order to receive this deliverance and enforce satans defeat, we must fill our mouths with God's words. We must speak rightly over our children and families.

The enemy tries to press our flesh and emotions to get us speaking what we "see and feel" with our natural eyes, rather than what God says in a given situation.

We need to continue to proclaim God's word over our children and grandchildren in order to transmit the blessing of God, and break the chains of family iniquity.

Prov. 18: 21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Signs Of The Times

SIGNS OF THE TIMES -

Quote from Dr. Henry Wright -

"MY DEFINITION OF CODEPENDENCY IS CALLING EVIL GOOD IN THE NAME OF LOVE "

Romans 12:9 (KJV) -
“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave (cling) to that which is good.”

1 Cor. 13: 6 - (Love) does not rejoice in INIQUITY (patterns of un confronted, unresolved destructive mindsets and behaviors passed from generation to generation) but rejoices in the TRUTH; (Unfeigned, sincere genuine reality, conforming to verified fact, and freedom from falsehood)

What is Dissimulation?

Dissimulation is the act of faking or hiding ones true self. It's also falsehood, duplicity, deception, fraud and more.

So much of what we are seeing in our government today under the guise of political correctness is duplicitous and is the act of dissimulation.

It's also rampant in religion and many churches as well, under the guise of being relevant, and "seeker friendly." These terms are nothing more than political correctness within the church. The church has exchanged the power of TRUTH, coming through the Holy Spirit, for focusing on making people feel good soulishly.

Many times what is taking place within our modern culture seeps in and pervades the church culture as well.

Very few recognize this parallel, which takes intimacy with the Lord to unmask. Many have a relationship with formulas, rules and regulations, plans and programs, instead.

There are many out of order, out of bounds, emotional sentimental nonsense done in the name of love in both cultures.

Political Correctness-

Confronting people or their issues concerning boundary violations would be falsely defined as being mean, unloving, or in the world's cultural definition, racist!

The out of bounds way of dealing with people and their problems within our culture and churches is rampant. For example; when someone has a pattern of repeat problems, rather than be honest to identify the problem in order to solve it, many just avoid the issue altogether. People will just say nice surface things in order to make the person with the problem feel good temporarily, but the problem is never solved. How loving is that? It's not. It's a form of self preservation.

So much is pushed under the carpet and hidden in the name of "letting things go," in order to preserve our own image of being loving and kind. This is nothing more than living a lie, and cannot be blessed by God.

When a person says one thing to someone, but means something else on the inside, it's also a form of false image making. What do I mean? Many are more concerned with saving face and appearing nice, or politically correct, then being honest and speaking the truth. It's only in knowing and doing the truth that we are truly free.

John 8:32- And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The false image making of saying one thing and doing or meaning another to appear good, creates confusion. For example: Socialistic humanism has a guise of helping people, but in reality strips people of their rights, freedoms and power. This dualistic pattern also perpetuates roots of false image making of humanism within our culture and churches. It's achieved by doing good works born of our own power and intellect, thus playing God, which is Idolotry.

Humanism Within the Church-

Humanism within the church is man trying to meet mans needs, with mans own power and intellect, but devoid of God's power. The Holy Spirit is then pushed to the sidelines of many church plans and programs.

God has a way of meeting mans needs that's higher than mans way. We are to cooperate and follow God, not the other way around.

Humanism within our American Culture-

Humanism within our American Culture is the government taking the place of God, and taking care of all of mans problems. It is an anti-Christ mindset that hides under the guise of doing good for the people, while the government tells them how to think, how to live, and how much money they should make and give away. Yet it actually strips the people of their God given rights to choose for themselves, and worship God freely! It's socialism packaged and cloaked in a false image of love and goodness, but strips individual, parental and national sovereignty. It's nothing more than slavery, being sold to us under the banner of helping people!

Eccl. 1: 10 - Is there anything of which it may be said, "See, this is new?" It has already been in ancient times before us.

There is nothing new under the sun. It's happened before throughout history, and why so many colleges are endeavoring to change, or reengineer the truth of history to perpetuate their cynical distortion of history in order to delude their students.

It's also rampant in many family cultures as well. What we see is not what we get, and what we say is not what we mean!

More of how dissimulation manifests -

Dissimilation also means hiding or concealment. Concealing our true selves, motives and intentions. This is the total opposite of coming into the light so our deeds can be clearly seen. It's complete duplicity and double living.

James 1:7 - For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; Vs. 8. he is a DOUBLE -MINDED man, unstable in all his ways.

How can we change? -

The only way to bring change to mindsets of humanism pervading our culture, churches and homes, is through one on one transformation through a relationship with Jesus Christ, and His word. It starts in our individual lives and relationships.

God's Word brings Change-

The beginning of all change starts with filling our mouthes with God's Spirit anointed word, then doing it. He created the world through words, we are changed through agreeing and living by His words.

Jesus is Lord-

He alone is the standard bearer. He alone is the creator of all things. He alone is The Way, The TRUTH, and the Life. John 14:6 We are not to conform to this world but be transformed into His very image.

Romans 12: 2 - do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may PROVE what is that GOOD and acceptable and PERFECT will of God.

Loving God's Way -

Without expressing sincere heartfelt words to God and others, our words become seeds that die unborn.

It's a risk to love God's way, and be open and vulnerable to truth. There's always a risk of being vulnerable and transparent. It's in the place of vulnerability where we find the gold and marrow of life. It's the only way to develop strong relationships with God and people.

Inverted Priorities can lead to Idolatry -

We must make sure, however, that we don't invert God's order of priorities. The priority of loving the Lord first, must always take place in our lives before trying to meet the needs of people in our own power and strength. We must exalt God's goodness alone and not our own, otherwise idolatry sets in.

Luke 18: 19- So Jesus said to him, (the rich young ruler) "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is God.

God's Priorities and Boundaries-

In order to exalt the Lord and His goodness we need to govern our lives according to His priorities and boundaries. Many take Jesus words in Luke 10:27 of love the Lord, then your neighbor, out of context. Many think this scripture is negating the sovereignty of marriage and family first by putting them in the same category of "neighbor," if not behind ministry to our neighbors in the outside community. Doctrines of demons forbid marriage and twist and distort the scriptures. 1 Tim. 4:3 Scripture must be matched with scripture.

The New Testament also says that if we don't take care of our own, we are worse than infidels, or unbelievers.

1 Timothy 5: 8 - But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Here's how our priorities are to be in accordance with the word of God -

In Genesis, God concentrated on first, creating marriage between one man and one woman, then preserving the covenant family of Noah, then the covenant couple of Abraham and Sarah. It was almost 1000 years before the nation of Israel was formed and the corporate form of worship was established in the tabernacle, under Moses.

So our priorities must follow the same pattern.

1. Love the Lord
2. Marriage partner
3. Children and immediate family.
4. Extended family - i.e. Siblings, parents, etc.
5. Ministry, church, and/or job.
6. Outside community.

Why many hide behind false images -

Another reason people hide behind false images of their own goodness is to protect themselves from the hurt and pain disclosure can bring.

The disclosure of falsehood shines a light and exposes areas in our lives that are out of order, and beyond God's healthy priorities and boundaries. It doesn't bear good fruit, or fruit that remains. Yet living within God's healthy priorities and boundaries is the only way to grow up spiritually and emotionally, and bear good fruit.

How withholding TRUE heartfelt words effects our relationships -

Many relationships die not because we don't love the other person, but because not enough sincere seeds of heartfelt words were sown or spoken. Many do this in the name of self protection.

Relationships also die without corresponding action to our words. Saying one thing and doing another.

Can you imagine the kingdom of God without the exchange of heartfelt true words, and those words written down for generations to feed on?

Can you imagine if God didn't back up His words with reality (truth) in doing what He said?

Can you imagine the Kingdom of God without His order, kingdom
laws, boundaries and priorities, which bring true peace in our lives.

Everything we are, everything we do and everything we are standing on originated from God's Words of love being shared with us His children, and established boundaries to preserve and protect us.

In order to break free of co-dependent humanism within the American culture and church, (calling evil good and good evil, in the name of love) it takes agreeing and complying with God who is TRUTH. It takes putting God's word first and making Jesus Lord of our lives once more, instead of human reasoning.

Time for Soul Healing-

11/6/2018

3 John 1: 2 - Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in HEALTH, (even as) your SOUL prospers.

Many of us in the church world know that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, was wounded for our transgressions, and was bruised for our INIQUITIES. We know cognitively that by His stripes we are HEALED.

Is. 53: 3 - 5 - He (Jesus) is despised and rejected by men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Vs. 4. Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses) and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. Vs. 5. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our INIQUITIES; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes (blows the cut) we ARE HEALED.

Why then, is there so much brokenness and sickness remaining in the body of Christ? I have always been a why person. This question deserves some study and some answers. Now there is no "one size fits all" formula to divine health. We are all unique works of art, come from different walks of life and different family backgrounds.

Encoded in each family are patterns of thought, ways of operating and deeply embedded belief systems.
Add to that mix, areas of trauma, abuse, loss, and infirmities, and there is now an explosion of damage done to the DNA patterns of our SOUL.

These broken DNA soul patterns can pass down from generation to generation. This is called an INIQUITY.

Many think that after our human Spirit is born again and recreated, that our old patterns of thought change automatically as well. It does not. Our soul needs saving and goes through a process called sanctification which takes time and mind renewal.

The saving of our Spirit is a free gift from Christ needing only our believing and receiving it.

The saving of our soul, is a journey that requires our choice to discipline ourselves in hearing and obeying the voice of Christ coming through His word.

The saving of our soul requires we recognize every foreign pattern of thought contrary to the word of God, and pull it down.

2 Cor. 10: 4- 5- For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (or natural) but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, Vs. 5 casting down arguments and every high thing (thoughts) that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

For many of us this takes years of soul excercise. It takes a lot of confronting, dismantling old thought patterns, and overcoming them. I say it this way; we need to:
1. Face
2. Confront
3. Overcome

In order to do this we must make a distinction between what is soulish and what is spiritual. We also need to make a distinction between good and evil. This requires spiritual maturity and soul excercise.

Heb. 5: 14 - But solid food (skilled in the word of righteousness) belongs to those who are of full age (mature), that is, those who by reason of use have their senses (soul) excercised to discern both good and evil.

Jesus is our example. He overcame the devil through the Spirit anointed word of God when tested in the wilderness.

Matt. 4: 1- 11- Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

Satan tested Jesus through twisting the word of God. Satan did this by trying to get Jesus to bow to his distortion.

Satan still operates the same way with God's people today. He will bring up the fact of a scripture, take it out of context, and try to get us to bow to "the voice of a stranger."

Many well meaning Christians have bitten the bait of what they think is obeying the word of God, only to realize that it's the enemy coming in as an angel of light. He uses the very scriptures meant to bring deliverance, and puts God's people into bondage.

2 Cor. 11: 14- And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

How does the Enemy do this? -

By tricking God's people into listening and obeying the scripture, (taken out of context), which the enemy is speaking to them.

We are never to listen or respond to the voice of a stranger (the enemy), even when scriptures are thrown into the mix. That mixture is error.

John 10:4 - 5 - ... and the sheep follow him, (Jesus) for they know his voice. Vs. 5. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the VOICE of STRANGERS.

Following the external letter of the word always kills. Only the Spirit of God, breathed into the scriptures, brings life to them. This is called the Rhema, or Spirit anointed word of God.

John 6: 63- It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I (Jesus) speak to you are SPIRIT and they are LIFE.

Following the voice of God coming through His anointed scriptures, brings life and deliverance.

Overcoming Iniquity by Knowing Truth and Speaking God's Words -

Proverbs 16:6 -
“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil."

Is. 6: 6 - 7 - Then one of the seraphim (Angels) flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar (Of God). Vs. 7. And he touched my MOUTH with it, and said:
"Behold, this has touched your lips; Your INIQUITY is taken away, and your sin purged."

This was under the old covenant dispensation. I believe what happened to Isaiah, with the fiery coal on his tongue, was also a prophetic picture of what was going to be fulfilled in Jesus under the new covenant.

In Acts 2:4 we see the disciples receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the upper room. Tongues of FIRE sat upon each of them, and they began to SPEAK with other tongues.

Their mouths were cleansed, like Isaiah, from the FIRE that came from the altar of God. Isaiah didn't have to work for this cleansing of INIQUITY and neither did the disciples.

It's the promise of the Father coming through the finished work of Jesus death, burial and resurrection. We have to receive it, and then our part is to exercise it.

How does Praying in the Spirit help to dismantle Generational Iniquity? -

When we pray in the Spirit we are speaking directly to God. We are praying out mysteries, even though our mind is unfruitful. We are also building ourselves up on our most holy faith.

Jude Vs. 20- But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the HOLY SPIRIT

This is very important because it allows our prayers to avail much without the interference of our minds or the enemy.

The Holy Spirit will also help us to interpret what we are praying about. Other times it's on a need to know basis.

Praying in the Spirit (tongues) helps to break generational iniquity, because iniquity is transmitted through words.

James 3: 6 - And the tongue is a fire, a world of INIQUITY. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

When we pray in the Spirit we are filling our mouthes with God's language which is perfect.

James 3: 2- For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a PERFECT (or mature) man, able also to bridle the whole body.

Praying in the Spirit is one way to help us overcome iniquity, because we are filling our mouthes with God's perfect language, which in turn is healing our entire body.

Breaking Generational Iniquity by growing up-

There is no easy way to grow up emotionally and overcome years of embedded mindsets passed down for generations.

The first ones in a family to confront mindsets and thoughts that have kept iniquity rooted in, face a lot of opposition. They are pioneering as it were, new spiritual and emotional territory. It's worth it however, because through the blood of Jesus, applying the Spirit anointed word of God, and praying in the Holy Spirit, a new trail of blessing is being forged for generations to come!

Ingrained habits and patterns, (strongholds) don't change without clear understanding and learning the whys of what we do almost unconsciously.

It takes a lot of courage to journey into the deeper layers of our hearts. It takes the wisdom of God to find out where things are coming from, and why we do what we do.

The Holy Spirit will help us in this process of dismantling strongholds of thought by leading us into all truth.

Those that take this journey, with the help of the Holy Spirit, will grow into full measure of maturity in Christ.

I've seen many in the body of Christ shy away from this journey of truth into emotional maturity. Many would rather blame others or even God, rather than look honestly at themselves.

The journey of soul healing always starts with us first. We need to stop operating in mental knowledge alone but in the spiritual wisdom of applied revelation coming from a deep connection with our Father in heaven.

Keys to healing that Jesus spoke of-

Matt. 13: 13 - 16 - "Therefore I (Jesus) speak to them (religious rulers) in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
14. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says;
"Hearing you will hear and shall not understand. And seeing you will see and not perceive. 15. For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed,

lest they should SEE with their eyes and HEAR with their ears, Lest they should UNDERSTAND with their HEARTS and turn, so that I should HEAL them."

Why do so many in the body of Christ not see or hear God correctly? -

Religious activity apart from heartfelt connection with their Father in heaven, through Christ, stops the ability to see and hear correctly.

Many have a relationship with do's and don'ts, rules and regulations. Many have an external adherence to the word of God void of the heart. I call it "heady" or dead religion.

This causes a spiritual dullness to set in. A lack of correct seeing and hearing what God is really saying in a given situation. The bible calls it a SPIRIT of STUPOR.

Rom. 11: 8 - "God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear, to this very day."

Definition of stupor -
1    a state in which the mind and senses are dulled; partial or complete loss of sensibility, as from the use of a narcotic or from shock
2    mental or moral dullness or apathy. (Websters Dictionary)

Paul was talking about the religious rulers of his day and their refusal to receive Jesus as their Messiah. Doubt and unbelief always blinds people from seeing the truth.

This lack of seeing God's truth correctly causes spiritual blindness, which perpetuates iniquity.

Also putting on works of our own righteousness will keep many under the curse of the law, which keeps the door to iniquity open.

Many have learned the art of pleasing people through the false image of glorifying their own NICENESS. This comes through trusting in their own external works, while hiding their true selves.

Matt. 19: 17- (Jesus said) "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

Jesus was cutting through the false flattery of the rich young ruler who prided himself on his own goodness and adherence to the commandments.

Only through the knowledge of truth in our inward parts, (heart) will we have real soul healing.

Only when we stop striving to be externally "good" in our own power, and give God all the glory and honor, will the chain of iniquity be broken.

Only when we give mercy to others in their shortcomings will we be freed from ours.

Only when we learn to judge situations correctly by saying what God says about something, rather than redefining our realities to cope, will we grow up.

Only when we learn to forgive and release those over us who have hurt us, will we be truly free from the chains of iniquity that try to keep us anchored to our past!

It's a season of deep soul healing right now. Jump in the river of God's Holy Spirit and let Him excavate every walled off area of the heart. Let Him show us what's blocking us from moving forward in our lives.

The Holy Spirit is a gentleman. He will never barge into our lives. We must open wide our hearts and let Him have all of us.

Yielding fully to the Holy Spirit will enable us to make the necessary adjustments, in order to repent or (change) from doing things in our way and time frame.

Hearing and following the Holy Spirit, in line with the scriptures, will enable us to be more willing to yield to God's plan for our lives. This is when divine soul healing takes place.

Ps. 33: 10-12- The Lord brings the COUNSEL of the nations to nothing; He makes the PLANS of the PEOPLES of no effect. Vs. 11. The COUNSEL of the Lord stands forever, The PLANS of His heart to all GENERATIONS. Vs. 12. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

This is how to ensure the blessing of God on generations to come.

The Halls of Faith - Hebrews 11

11/6/2018

Hebrews 11:6 - But without FAITH it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God MUST believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who DILIGENTLY seek Him.

In this teaching I want to highlight all of the people mentioned in the Halls of Faith. I wanted to write a short synopsis of who they are and what they did.

Faith at the dawn of history-

1. Abel- By FAITH Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain. (His gift proved he was RIGHTEOUS) God testifying of his gifts, and through it he being dead still speaks.

2. Enoch - By FAITH Enoch Was taken away so that he did not see death. Before he was taken he had this testimony that he PLEASED God. Heb. 11:5

3. Noah - By FAITH Noah Being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with GODLY FEAR, prepared an ark for the saving of his household. He became HEIR of the RIGHTEOUSNESS which is according to faith. (God preserved a covenant family, to restore the earth)

After the flood-

God's Covenant Couple is birthed, which precedes the Nation of Israel.

Abraham- The Father of many Nations -

4. Abraham- By FAITH Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the HEIRS with him of the same promise. Heb. 11:8 -9

(Abraham) waited for the city which has foundations, whose BUILDER and MAKER is GOD. (Made not with human hands!) Heb. 11: 10

From one man, Abraham, as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude- innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. Heb. 11: 12

The First Covenant Woman- (After the flood)

The Mother of many nations -

5. Sarah- By FAITH Sarah received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him FAITHFUL who had promised. Heb. 11:11

6. Isaac - By FAITH Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
Heb. 11:20

7. Jacob - By FAITH Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and WORSHIPED, leaning on the top of his staff. Heb. 11:21

8. Joseph - By FAITH Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones. (This meant that Joseph wanted his bones taken out of Egypt, along with the Exodus of the Nation of Israel). Heb. 11:22

9. Moses - By FAITH Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents... When he became of age, refused to be called the son of pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin. Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; (The world) for he looked to the reward! Heb. 11:23- 26

A) He kept the Passover.
B) they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians were drowned.
C). By FAITH the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for 7 days. (Joshua and Caleb). Heb. 28- 30

The second Woman mentioned in the Halls of Faith-

10. Rahab- By FAITH, the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. (She was in the land of Canaan before the Israelites came and received their promise land). Heb. 11: 31

11. Gideon - Heb. 11:32 - Judges 6:11- 15. Vs. 15. So he (Gideon) said to Him, "O Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the WEAKEST in Manasseh, and I am the LEAST in my Father's house."

12. Barak - Heb. 11:32 - Judges 4: 6- 24. Deborah, the prophetess, called for Barak to "go and deploy troops at Tabor in order to deliver Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army (King of Canaan) into his hand. To make a long story short, Barak didn't want to go to into battle without Deborah.

Because of Barak's refusal to go alone, the Lord had Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, kill Sisera, the commander of the army of King Jabin of Canaan. How is this significant? From the time of Moses, the Kenites were allied with Israel. Heber, Jael's husband, however, was an ally of King Jabin. Jael honored their alliance with Israel, even though her husband did not. Brave woman! She gets the credit for defeating King Jabin, when it was prophesied for Barak to accomplish this.

13. Samson - Heb. 11:32 - Judges 13: 16- 31 Vs. 24 - So the woman bore a son and called him Samson; and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him. Vs. 25 And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him at Mahaneth Dan...

Samson's mother was barren until she was visited by an Angel after 40 years in bondage to the philistines. This bondage came after Israel did evil in the Lord's sight. The Angel prophesied of her giving birth to a son for the purpose of delivering Israel out of the hands of the Philistines. Judges 13: 5

14. Jephthah - Heb. 11:32- Judges 11: 1-29
Vs. 29 - Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Mizpah of Gilead.

Jephthah made a vow to God that if He delivered the people of Ammon into his hands, Jephthah would give to the Lord whatever came out of the doors of his house. Judges 11: 31

It ended up being Jephthah's only child, a daughter who came out of the house. This vow required her to remain a virgin the rest of her life.

15. David - Heb. 11:32 - 1 Sam. 16: 7- 18 (A man after God's own heart)

The Lord told Samuel to go to Jesse the Bethlehemite's house. God had provided a king from among Jesse's sons. Jesse had 8 sons but only had the 7 oldest pass before Samuel the prophet. David was in essence rejected by his own Father because he was the youngest.

1 Samuel 16:7 - But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his (Eliab, older brother of David) stature, because I have refused him. (All seven of Jesse's sons) For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the OUTWARD appearance, but the Lord looks at the HEART."

David was called out of the field where he was keeping the sheep and came before the prophet Samuel.

1 Samuel 16: 12- And the Lord said, "Arise, anoint him; (David) for this is the one!"

16. Samuel- Heb. 11: 32 - 1 Samuel 3: 20- Samuel was established as the prophet of the Lord.

1 Sam. 2: 18 - But Samuel ministered before the Lord, even as a child, wearing a linen ephod.

1 Samuel 3: 1 & 19- And the word of the Lord was rare in those days: there was no widespread revelation. Vs. 19 So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.

17. The Prophets - Heb. 11: 32

Heb. 11: 33 - 34 - Who through FAITH subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

The woman with no name-

18. Woman received their dead raised to life again.
Elijah and the widow of Zarephath....(The third woman mentioned in the Halls of Faith) Heb. 11: 35
1 Kings 17: 22 (See my Mothers Day teaching for more details)

All these having obtained a good TESTIMONY through FAITH, did not receive the PROMISE (The Messiah Christ Jesus, the hope of glory) God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us! (In the new covenant dispensation). Heb. 11: 39- 40

In conclusion-

God did not choose the strong, the proud, the most qualified, or the most intelligent in doing some of His greatest works for humanity. God chose those who looked and depended on Him to bring about His promises, imperfect as they all were.

1 Cor. 1: 26- 29- For you see your calling, brethren, that not many WISE according to the flesh, not many MIGHTY, not many NOBLE are called. Vs. 27 but God has chosen the FOOLISH things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the WEAK things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty. Vs. 28. And the BASE things of the world and the things which are DESPISED God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, Vs. 29. That NO FLESH should glory in His PRESENCE.

Mother's Day Teaching - May 2016

Elijah and The Widow of Zarephath-
An Old Testament example of the Faith of a Mother in saving her HOUSEHOLD.

Hebrews 11: 1-3 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. 2. For by it the elders obtained a good TESTIMONY. 3. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are VISIBLE. (Not made with natural hands! Sounds like how God has made and is continuing to build up His Church!) Mark 14:58.

Heb. 11:35 - Woman received their DEAD back to LIFE again. The reference to this scripture is the story of Elijah and the widow in 1 Kings 17:8.

Elijah and the Widow of Zarephath -

1. First, God knows the end from the beginning which requires faith on our part to do exactly what He says, when He says.

1 Kings 17: 8 - Then the word of the Lord came to him saying, 9. "Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have COMMANDED a widow to PROVIDE for you."

The widow was preparing to eat her last meal and die.
The word of the Lord came to her, through the Prophet Elijah, which confirmed what the Lord already told her.

1 Kings 17: 13-14 - And Elijah said to her, "DO NOT FEAR, go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it FIRST, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. 14. "For thus says the Lord God of Israel: "The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends RAIN on the earth."
(There was a drought in that land at that time).

God's order in things is real important to obey, for His promises to come to pass. His order is God first, people second!

The widow needed to sow a seed in her famine, by giving to the Lord in helping His servant.
She could have eaten her last morsels of food (her seed) and died, along with her family.
Instead she chose to obey the command of the Lord to feed His prophet Elijah first. She received supernatural provision because of her faith and obedience in God.

1 Kings 17: 15-16 - So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her HOUSEHOLD ate for many days. 16. The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF THE LORD which HE spoke by Elijah.

1 Kings 17: 17-18- Now it happened after these things that the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no BREATH left in him. (He died)
18. So she said to Elijah, "What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to kill my son?"

She's angry and sarcastic about the "Man of God." Her faith was being sorely tested. She listened and did what the Lord told her through the Prophet, and after the first blessing of provision, was in anguish over the death of her son.

This is where many in the body of Christ bite the bait of Satan's offense. After the death of a loved one, or any type of death, (i.e. Death of a dream, relationship, etc.) many get angry and begin to blame God. Many also may get angry with anyone associated with the Lord's service as well.

Elijah's response was to take the son, and bring him to the Lord in prayer. Elijah took the boy to the UPPER ROOM, where he was staying in the widows house, and laid the boy on his own bed. He interceded and cried out to the Lord for direction and answers.

1 Kings 17: 20 - 22 - Then he (Elijah) cried out to the Lord (intercession on her behalf) and said, "O Lord MY GOD, have You also brought tragedy on the widow with whom I lodge, by killing her son?"

God is not the author of death. He is the giver of life! He has, however, delegated authority to each of us in the Body of Christ. God needs our cooperation in praying out His will and plans for our loved ones. God needs His ministers to stand in the gap on behalf of His purposes as well.

1 Kings 17: 21- And he (Elijah) stretched himself out on the child THREE TIMES, (Jesus was in the belly of the earth, three days and three nights) and cried out to the Lord and said, "O Lord MY GOD, I pray, let this child's soul come back to him." 22. Then the Lord HEARD the VOICE of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he REVIVED.

1 Kings 17: 23-24- And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the UPPER ROOM into the house, and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said, "See, your SON LIVES!"
24. Then the woman said to Elijah, "Now by this I know that you are a MAN of GOD, and that the WORD OF THE LORD IN YOUR MOUTH IS THE TRUTH."

Sounds familiar doesn't it? Where did the Church first receive her power? In the UPPER ROOM, where they were filled with the Holy Spirit, The Breath of life. Acts 2. The Holy Spirit brings REVIVAL.

Look at how the faith of a mother blessed her entire household. She made it into the "Halls of Faith" in the book of Hebrews, along with other woman as well.

Even though she struggled with lack and death, she overcame by listening and obeying God and honoring His Prophet.

I believe God wanted her story to be remembered, because there are two components to her blessing.

1. The first blessing was DIVINE PROSPERITY. This came through the commanded blessing of the Lord. This also came through Elijah the Prophet listening to God as well.

2. The second blessing was DIVINE HEALING. This came to the widow's son after he was brought back to life after he died. Again, this came through the Prophet Elijah praying to God.

Both of these blessings came through the cooperation of the faith and obedience of a mother, along with the prayers of Elijah, God's servant.

There must always be a cooperation between heaven and earth in HEARING and obeying the Spirit anointed WORD OF THE LORD. That is how faith comes.

It doesn't come by hearing with our natural ears, it comes by hearing with our spiritual ears. When we respond and take action on the Spirit anointed Word, breakthrough always comes.

Matt. 13: 13-15- Therefore I speak to them (scribes and Pharisees) in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14. And in them the prophesy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says;

Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not PERCEIVE: 15. For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing. And their eyes they have closed (spirit of stupor). Lest they should SEE with their (spiritual eyes) and hear with their (spiritual ears), Lest they should understand with their hearts (spirits) and turn, (repent or change) So that I should HEAL them.

These are major keys to healing in every area!

Many times, like with this mother in the "Halls of Faith,"things may appear worse before they get better. We cannot go by the natural sight of the eyes, but the spiritual eyes of faith in God's word revealed to us.

There are so many nuggets and divine glimpses of what was coming in the Church age, wrapped up in this story. When I was seeking the Lord as to what to share this Mothers Day, however, the Lord put it in my heart to highlight the faith of this woman, and how she overcame her circumstances, which saved her HOUSEHOLD.

This scripture is also special to me because it's what the Lord gave me during the time my Granddaughter was in the hospital fighting for her life.

I had to declare what the Word says, rather than what it looked like in the natural. I had to declare that she would, "live and not die and declare the works or praises of God." Ps. 118:17

Elijah facilitated the miracle of the widows dead son being brought back to life.

This woman with no name, however, being one of many in the "Halls of Faith," was credited with bringing the dead back to life! Amazing!

Matt. 10:41 - "He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophets reward."

Look at the partnership and cooperation between the Lord, this woman, and the Prophet or servant of the Lord, all working together. What a beautiful portrayal of the family of God using their faith and divine giftings in bringing blessings on earth and Glory to God.

Don't ever underestimate the power of a believing Mother who listens, follows her Lord, and does what He says!

Happy Mothers Day!

Welcome John Michael Curcio IV! Our first grandson, and second grand baby!

Well, much has happened since the last time I wrote. On January 4, 2016 John Michael Curcio IV was born. Our first grandson, and second grand baby! With every new birth in a family there's alot of preparation, and alot of busyness. It takes time to assimilate all the changes, and adjust to all the new routines that growth in a family brings. A new life is such a precious gift from God!

It's amazing to watch our own son, with his new son. Time has flown. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing home our own babies!

Hannah, John Michael's big sister, is so happy to have a baby brother. She calls him Johnny and "brother." Watching and helping Hannah adjust to all the changes after an intense journey of her own during the fall, has been an interesting process. She has done very well sharing her mommy and daddy with lil Johnny, and learning much patience. She shares her toys, and loves to talk and sing to her baby brother. Adorable to watch.

As grandparents it's been a fun journey of helping out, babysitting, and just watching our own children parent their children now. Watching a family grow and find their own rhythm and patterns, while being an available support, is a blessing.

I just wanted to give a short update on family news before going into my next blog. In the next blog I would like to highlight what the Lord has been impressing on my heart for this upcoming "year of change."

Behold The Lamb

"Behold the Lamb of God !" -

A story of Jesus healing and visiting our granddaughter Hannah.

Is. 11: 6 - And a little child shall lead them.

Mark 10: 15- "Assuredly, I (Jesus) say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."

On Sunday, October 11, 2015, we had service at our Church like any other Sunday. I've learned to open my spiritual ears to hear what the Lord is saying in each service. Many times the Lord changes my husband's sermon, and a different topic or focus comes out after worship. Usually when this happens, it is to prepare us to walk out that word during the upcoming week. It takes on a more prophetic meaning.

On this day my husband kept exhorting the church to "Behold the Lamb." He said it numerous times and it wasn't the sermon he had prepared. I took note of the significance of that phrase, and found the scripture it referred to. I knew the Lord was speaking to us as a family as well as a church family, and needed to pay attention to its meaning.

John 1: 29 - The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "BEHOLD! THE LAMB OF GOD" who takes away the sin of the world!

We have a family tradition of going upstate apple picking and hiking in the Catskill Mountains every fall. We were packed and ready to go after service.

We went to pick up our son John, his wife Vanessa, and Hannah our granddaughter. We were meeting the rest of our kids upstate. Upon arriving at their house, it was evident that Hannah was not feeling well and was in no condition to travel. She was ashen white, crying, and weak.

My husband and I went upstate to meet our other children. Johnny and Nessa decided to stay home and take Hannah to the doctor. Thank God they did.

Little did any of us realize how severe the situation was. Hannah was very anemic. Her hemoglobin count went down to 3.5. It is now at 13.4 which is above normal!

As soon as we finished apple picking with our other children, Grace, David and their friends, we received an emergency phone call about Hannah. Hannah was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. My husband and I cut short our trip and rushed back home to pray for our granddaughter and family in the hospital. We prayed, had our church pray, called Rhema and Ken Copeland Ministries to pray as well. We knew we were entering a battle for Hannah's life.

We made the declaration that Hannah will live and not die and declare the works (praises) of God!

Ps. 118:17 - I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord.

After making those declarations of the Word of God over Hannah, then came the fight of faith in pulling down every stronghold of thought and imagination to the contrary. The Word truly brings hope which is an anchor to the soul.

Heb. 6: 19 - This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.

Before getting answers to the questions about what was happening with Hannah, and what caused her blood count to plummet, we had to plant our feet firmly on the Word and declare what God says about her first! We couldn't say what we saw, because it didn't look good. We had to say what we believed in the Word of God.

The doctors themselves were baffled as to why all her blood counts and iron counts were all out of whack. Getting to the root cause was an intense journey. We prayed daily for the wisdom of God and had to pull down all speculations of what it looked like in the natural.

I remember when our firstborn son Johnny was in a struggle for his life when battling asthma as a child. He had a particularly bad attack when my husband and I were not home. While away, the Holy Spirit kept checking us to go back home. We had a babysitter watching Johnny and our other son David. The babysitter did a great job in staying calm and doing all the right things. There were no cell phones back then to notify us of an emergency, and we were not near a phone. We raced home to find Johnny asleep on the couch but struggling to breathe. He had broken capillaries in his face from trying to catch his breath. I knew by looking at him and his strained breathing that it wasn't good. My husband wanted to let him sleep. If he awoke and needed more help we would rush him to the hospital.

I had to pray many times into the morning in overcoming horrible mental images and suggestions from the enemy about his future. This particular episode, however, was fierce and the most intense I had ever faced. I knew I was confronting a spirit of death. I prayed in the Spirit for many hours and had to pull down every imagination and lie contrary to the Word of God. About 3 am, I sensed a release in my spirit, and it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. The storm had passed in the spirit realm, and I knew he was going to be fine. At the same moment, Johnny woke up and I asked how he was doing? He said he was fine and went right back to sleep. In the natural his breathing was still strained even after taking his medicine, but the grip on him was broken. We all knew it. That was the last deadly attack he ever had. Thank God for the power of the Holy Spirit who warns us, helps us and teaches us what to do during times of intense confrontation against forces of darkness.

2 Cor. 10: 4 - 5 - For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, vs. 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

The thoughts and arguments coming against my mind was an attack against my son's calling. Only by praying in the Spirit and listening and declaring what God said in His Word about my son, helped to bring supernatural deliverance over the spirit of death! Now, Johnny leads worship at our church, he's a professional trumpet player, which needs a strong set of lungs, and a High School music teacher.

Well, this fight for Hannah's life reminded me of that time when fighting for my son's life. Hannah had been teething and when in pain and wanted to drink more and more milk. When she drank too much milk, she would throw it up, depleting any nutrient absorption. It became a cycle of pain relief for her to keep drinking milk rather than solid food which hurt her mouth. Little did any of us realize that drinking too much milk could actually harm a person by causing anemia, which left uncorrected, could cause death.

It doesn't happen in all children, but in Hannah's case, her drinking too much milk blocked the absorption of iron and nutrients. This caused her hemoglobin count to plummet, her iron stores to be depleted, which elevated her white blood count to compensate for all the losses. Even her heart had to work harder. Thank God that in the midst of turning this around for Hannah, the Lord was present every step of the way, touching Hannah, and giving all of us His Word to help us through.

Of course the doctors had to rule out everything before coming to any conclusions. This was a tough process, because we needed wisdom to hear what was happening in Hannah's body but at the same time pray for all her blood count numbers to turn around supernaturally.

We as pray-ers need to know exactly what to pray and ask for. We can't bury our heads in the sand and hope that the tests and trials of life will just go away. No, every conflict in life requires that we face it, confront the issues at hand, overcome it by hearing what God says about it, and then do what He tells us to do.

While Hannah was in the hospital she needed a blood transfusion to bring her blood count back up. For a toddler close to two years old, this can be tough on their bodies in excepting foreign blood. We prayed as a family and had our worship music playing from church. A new song about the mighty name of Jesus came on. I remembered how my husband kept telling the church earlier that day to "Behold the Lamb." That phrase came forward in my spirit, I took note of it and realized it was for such a time as this!

Heb. 12: 2 - looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Not only did Jesus, the lamb of God, take away the sin of the world, he conquered death and all the sickness and disease that goes along with it.

Heb. 2: 14 - 15 - ... that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, vs. 15 and RELEASE those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

One of the evenings when Hannah was in the hospital I asked the Lord what specifically to pray for? The Holy Spirit led me to pray for her belly. I learned that the place of an attack, is an attack against the person's calling or assignment in life. I realized that out of our bellies shall flow rivers of living water. The belly represents the place where the Holy Spirit resides in believers. Hannah is going to be used mightily by the Holy Spirit, and is already very sensitive to the spiritual realm. I prayed that her belly both naturally and spiritually will receive the proper nutrients, hold on to them, and be assimilated correctly into her body.

Little did I realize that this prayer would be answered directly by Jesus himself visiting and touching Hannah in the hospital.

Hannah was released from the hospital after two days. In the weeks following, her hemoglobin blood counts rose faster than the doctors said, and her white blood cell count, which was highly elevated, began to decrease and normalize. Her iron stores were on the rise as well. It was a supernatural turn around!

A couple of weeks later, Johnny, Vanessa and Hannah were home watching a show. It was called, It's Supernatural with Sid Roth. On this program they were interviewing Gary Wood, who was supernaturally touched and healed by Jesus after dying in an accident. Hannah was crying to watch one of her children's shows. All of a sudden she became quiet while watching the re-enactment of Jesus touching Gary Wood in the hospital. Hannah recognized Jesus on the TV and said, "Jeez!" She then sat down between her parents, listened attentively, and kissed both of them. Unusual for a toddler.

Noticing the change in Hannah's countenance, Vanessa asked Hannah if Jesus visited her in the hospital? In her cute little two year old vocabulary, Hannah said, "Yes, JEEZ, BELLY, HANNAH!" (Hannah calls Jesus, Jeez)

Hannah described exactly where Jesus touched her to bring a healing. This was a confirmation to what the Lord instructed me to pray for weeks earlier.

I also remembered a prophesy given by Jerry Savelle at the beginning of 2015, at a Believers Convention with Kenneth Copeland. I'll just summarize it here and give the headline, for the sake of space and time.

Jesus demonstrated His love to our granddaughter by touching her, healing her, and visiting her in the hospital. This was enough to make anyone cry and shout for joy, but there's more.

At Christmas time our family went to see our town Christmas parade. We also went to see our son Johnny play Christmas Carols in a band the same night. To the side of the band was the town Manger. Our town has a tradition of taking the baby Jesus out of the Manger until Christmas Day.

Hannah was drawn to the Manger because one of her favorite toys in the whole world is her fisher price Mary person, from her own Manger set. Throughout her entire ordeal in the hospital and even at home recovering, she held on to her little Mary as a source of comfort. It's her little pal and friend that Hannah shares everything with, and I mean everything! Hannah takes Mary everywhere she goes, even to the doctors appointments.

It was so adorable watching Hannah looking at the Manger during the Christmas Carols and parade. We had to take some pictures of it. No one else seemed to be as interested in the Manger as Hannah. She stared to the left of where baby Jesus should have been.

When I got home and looked at the picture more closely, I began to see the image of Christ's face to the left behind one of the shepherds. Even though the traditional baby Jesus was removed, our Jesus was still there! Hannah was "Beholding the Lamb," as He was beholding her and all of us. Jesus was MANIFESTING Himself in an unusual way. This MANIFESTATION was a DEMONSTRATION of the love of Jesus in a simple but profound way that could be so easily missed!

Many times we can be so busy that we don't slow down enough to notice when God may be trying to speak to us or show us something.

I am so glad that I was able to notice a blessed demonstration of Jesus love through manifesting Himself in the picture with Hannah. It so blessed me that I made it our Christmas card for 2015. (It's the picture at the top of this blog)

Jesus took the time to love and show Himself to our little Hannah, who was in such a time of need. I love how He loves us all so uniquely. Jesus is amazing!

There was another parable that I found to be interesting in the midst of all the trials in the fall. The doctors had to schedule Hannah's milk use within certain time frames. Her milk use had to decrease to a certain amount of ounces per day, and only given an hour after eating solid foods. This allows for vitamin, iron and nutrient absorption.

I have been studying about spiritual maturity the last couple of months. I have been going over the scriptures referring to those that partake only of milk to being babes, and those that eat meat, likened to those becoming mature.

Heb. 5: 13 - 14 - For everyone who partakes ONLY of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. Vs. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, (mature) that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

It takes the wisdom of God to hear the parables of
life. We must have ears to hear what the Lord is speaking to us individually and corporately.

I never knew that drinking too much milk and not eating enough solids at the right time can actually cause anemia. Milk can block the absorption of iron and nutrients causing anemia. If left untreated, severe anemia can cause premature death!

In the midst of this trial I learned to keep looking to Jesus no matter what the circumstances looked like (Behold the Lamb). I also learned that in order to go on to maturity we need to receive the meat of the Word (truth) and not just milk alone.

Hannah, like all of us, can crave milk as a pain reliever. Milk is creamy, smooth and comforting. It's fine in its place and dosage. Milk is to our bodies, as wanting to hear nice comforting words is to our soul. If all we feed on however, is the milk of what our ears want to hear in being comforted, and we refuse the meat of truth, then we too will become anemic, spiritually speaking.

God in His goodness wants us all to grow up and come into full measure of maturity in Christ. He doesn't want any of us suffering from spiritual anemia or worse, pre-mature death.

Our development can only take place when we stay rooted in the Word of God, grounded by love in our families, and planted in the Church that God has called us to.

Eph. 4: 11- 16 - And He (Christ) Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying (building up) of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect (mature) man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. 14. That we should no longer be CHILDREN, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of DOCTRINE, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the TRUTH in LOVE, may GROW UP in all things into Him who is the head - Christ. 16 from whom the whole body joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its SHARE, causes the GROWTH of the body for the edifying of itself in LOVE.
